Notes

You can add a tablespoon or more of this pumpkin sauce into your favourite coffee, homemade frappuccinos or lattes and enjoy. A crucial tip to know is that letting the pumpkin sauce sit in the fridge for some time before using it is important to avoid the pumpkin pie spice from getting caught in your throat.
For a dairy-free pumpkin sauce, simply replace the sweetened condensed skim milk with a dairy-free sweetened condensed milk. Some of the dairy-free condensed milk you can use are; almond, coconut, soy and oat milk.
To properly store any leftover pumpkin sauce, simply seal the Mason jar tightly and store it in the refrigerator. The pumpkin sauce should last up to 2 weeks. However, if you notice mould or smell anything funky, throw it away immediately.
Since we’ve used condensed skim milk that’s already sweetened in this recipe, there’s no need to add more sugar or maple syrup to the sauce. The sweetness from the sweetened condensed milk is enough.
