Starbucks Secret Menu: The Three Cs (Taste, Ingredients, Caffeine, Calories, Copycat Recipe, and More Information)

Want to enjoy a homemade version of your favorite Starbucks The Three Cs drink? Read on for a simple recipe that will save you some money.

The Three Cs is one of my favorite Starbucks lattes. I always get one whenever I go shopping and stop at the store for a coffee. Inspired by the need to manage my student budget better, I learned how to make it at home and created an excellent drink—even if I say so myself—and I’ve decided to share the recipe with you so that you can make your judgment. I also discovered some interesting facts about the Starbucks Three Cs; read on to find out what they are and more.

Brief History Of The Drink

Just as with many secret menu items, it isn’t easy to attribute the drink’s invention to a particular person. What I found interesting was that fans were already sharing how to order as far back as 2010. As you may already know, the three Cs refer to cinnamon, chocolate, and caramel tastes. The beverage has a cinnamon dolce latte as the base drink; it had mocha syrup at the beginning, but now fans use the mocha sauce for the chocolate taste and caramel syrup.

Starbucks The Three Cs Overview

What’s in a Starbucks The Three Cs (Ingredients)

According to barista turned coffee blogger fluentincoffee, the Starbucks This latte is made using 2% steamed milk, brewed espresso, cinnamon dolce syrup, mocha sauce, caramel syrup, whipped cream, and cinnamon dolce sprinkles. 2 % milk is Starbucks’ standard milk for most drinks. They use their brand of cinnamon dolce syrup, mocha sauce, and caramel syrup. Starbucks’s whipped cream is made in-house using vanilla-flavored heavy cream. Starbucks cinnamon dolce sprinkles are made of cinnamon, sugar, salt, extractives of butter, and natural flavor.

What Sizes Are Available

You can get this drink in four size options: a short 8-ounce cup, a tall 12-ounce cup, a grande 16-ounce cup, or a venti 20-ounce cup. My go-to size is grande. I’d recommend you order a tall cup if you are getting the drink for the first time, then decide if to go higher or use less syrup if you find it too sweet.

Nutritional Facts

A 16-ounce cup of the Starbucks Three Cs will introduce 385 calories to your body, which is quite average for a Starbucks beverage if you ask me. However, you need to watch out for the sugar; with 50 grams of it, this drink fills the daily recommended amount if you are on a 2,000-calorie-a-day diet. It does not help that the drink is loaded with empty calories from fat and sugar, meaning that it should not be part of your regular diet. It’s not all bad news, though—the drink has calcium and other nutrients important for healthy blood cells and bones.

So, What Does Starbucks The Three Cs Latte Taste Like?

I love the Three Cs notes of spicy cinnamon, butter, chocolate, and vanilla—delicious to the last drop. The spiciness just hits the right spot, especially on a chilly morning.

Ways to Customize the Three Cs at Starbucks

I find it hard to mess with perfection, such as Starbucks’ Three Cs, but I was once persuaded to use mocha drizzle over the whipped cream instead of cinnamon dolce sprinkles. Although you may find it delicious this way, it was not my cup of coffee, so I stuck with the original formula.
