How to Make Starbucks Snickerdoodle Latte at Home – A Copycat Recipe for Making Starbucks Snickerdoodle Latte
Kai Jordan
The process of making this drink is surprisingly easy, and it can serve as a quick and convenient fix when you need to try drinks other than the classic coffee cup.
PanA mug
Whisk and bowl
A flask or mason jar
- ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
- ½ cup of black coffee
- Four teaspoons of brown sugar
- 1 cup of full-fat milk (or any dairy-free option you choose such as coconut milk)
- A small dusting of nutmeg (optional)
Brew the coffee in the usual method, and transfer it to a large mug.
Take another cup and pour a full cup of milk into it. Transfer this milk into a pan, then heat it until it starts simmering. Pour this milk into a flask.
In the milk, add nutmeg, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Close the flask tightly and shake it vigorously for approximately one minute.
Open the flask lid carefully and transfer the milk mixture to the mug that contains the coffee.
If you prefer, you can top this mixture off with extra cinnamon and sugar, and enjoy.
- Sugar and cinnamon are the cornerstones of the recipe and give it the snickerdoodle cookie taste. Therefore, do not skip them when making the drink at home.
- You can use a milk steamer if you have one, instead of shaking the milk mixture in a flask. This will not affect the drink’s flavor.
- Coconut milk is the best dairy-free option because it creates a thicker foam compared to soy or almond milk.
- To turn it into an iced latte option, simply use your coffee maker’s “iced” setting.
