You can still enjoy the tantalizing taste of a Starbucks smoothie in the comfort of your home. Sometimes, it is always good to be a little creative at home and save some money while at it. We are going to take you through the preparation of this drink step by step below.
Juicer/blender
Grande-sized cup
Knife
- 1 cup evolution juice from Starbucks. Various options include mango carrot, essential vegetables, greens with lime, organic avocado greens, orange, mango, organic grapefruit, and strawberry lemonade.
- 1 cup Dannon Greek yogurt
- 3 Kale leaves
- Half cup ice cubes
- Protein powder(Optional)
Cut the kale into large chunks with your knife
Pour your option of the Starbucks juice into your blender
Toss the kale in the blender/juicer
Add 1 cup of Dannon Yoghurt
Add protein powder if you so desire
Blend the mixture. Purge in intervals to ensure all the kale is blended to a pulp and everything is well mixed
Pour ice cubes into your cup and add the blended mixture onto the ice cubes
If you have a juicer, it makes things smoother as it removes the fiber and pulp for a smooth finish. However, you can still use a blender if you don’t mind the fiber in your smoothie.
There are many variations to this smoothie. If you decide to use carrots, please cube them before tossing them into the blender.
The one cup of juice and yogurt is subject to change per your taste and preferences. It is also possible to use whole fruit instead of the ready-made juice. This will require a juicer for the perfect Starbucks smoothie. The whole fruit option gives you all the freedom to use your preferred fruit for making the juice.
