Cuisine American

Equipment

  • A whisk
  • Saucepan
  • A small jar or container
  • Bowl for mixing different ingredients

Ingredients

  • One and a half cups of water
  • One and a half cups of white sugar
  • 12 cup of pumpkin puree
  • Four cinnamon sticks
  • Four teaspoons of ground nutmeg
  • Two teaspoons of ground ginger
  • Two teaspoons of ground cloves
  • Two teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 12 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

  • Mix the sugar and the water in a saucepan and allow it to boil for some time. Ensure that your heat is at medium-low. Stir the mixture regularly as it cooks for about five minutes.
  • The second procedure you must do is add pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice to the mixture. During this procedure, measure your pumpkin puree, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, cloves, ginger, vanilla extract, and pumpkin spice and add them to your first syrup. Let this mixture cook for at least 10 minutes.
  • Pass your syrup through a cheesecloth to get the final needed syrup.
  • Carefully pour your syrup into a tight jug or container and store it.

Notes

To prepare a pumpkin spice latte, mix three tablespoons of syrup with two shots of brewed espresso and three-quarters of steamed milk in a jar.
