Roasted, sliced pistachios
Salt
Almond extract (optional)
Water
Sugar
Instructions
Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil on high heat.
Simmer for 20 minutes while stirring until all the sugar is dissolved.
Remove from heat, add a pinch of salt, and let it cool.
Strain the mixture into a jar to get rid of the leftover pistachios.
Notes
Keep the syrup refrigerated and use it within seven days.
