Starbucks Hazelnut Syrup Copycat Recipe

Here is how to whip up hazelnut syrup at home

Equipment

  • Medium Saucepan
  • Stove and oven
  • Two dishcloths
  • Bowl
  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 250g Hazelnuts
  • 500g water
  • 500g Rapadura

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 320F and roast the hazelnuts until you get a sweet aroma and the color begins to change.
  • Remove the nuts from the oven and put them in a bowl. Take your two dishwash cloths and agitate the nuts until the cover comes off.
  • Place the nuts into a mixing bowl and whiz for 5 seconds at a speed of 4. In your saucepan, pour the Rapadura and water and bring them to a boil. Add the hazelnuts and let the mixture boil. Keep stirring to avoid burn.
  • Strain the remaining mixture until all the nuts are removed and let it cool. Leave it in the refrigerator for 24 hours.

Notes

  • If you do not have a mixing bowl, you can use a rolling pin to crush your hazelnuts.
  • Wait for 24 hours for all flavors to settle to feel the rich, nutty taste.
