Starbucks Golden Turmeric Latte Copycat Recipe

Equipment

  • Milk Frother or
  • Saucepan and whisk

Ingredients
  

  • ⅔ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • ⅛ cup hot espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • ¾ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of honey

Instructions
 

  • Pour the almond milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, pepper, and honey into a saucepan.
  • Heat over medium heat, then whisk thoroughly until the milk foams.
  • Pour the espresso into the serving cup, then top with the foamy milk mixture.
  • Sprinkle it with cinnamon powder and serve.

Notes

  • If you have a milk frother, you do not need to heat the milk mixture or use a whisk. Froth the milk with spices and honey until foamy, then pour over the espresso.
  • If you want to create latte art, skip the last two steps.
  • The ingredients stated here are for making a single cup of latte. If you want two, then you’ll need to double up all ingredients, and so on.
  • I prefer to use unsweetened almond milk to reduce the amount of sugar and calories in this drink.
  • If you want it to be vegan, consider having plant-based milk and using maple syrup instead of honey.
