Starbucks Chai Syrup Copycat Recipe

To craft their spicy chai syrup, you makes use of a wide variety of ingredients, the main one being black tea.
- 4 cups of water
- 8 tea bags of your preferred black tea.
- 10 cloves
- 4 star aniseI teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons of nutmeg
- Thumb-size crushed ginger
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 6 tablespoons of honey
Add the water into a pan and bring it to a boil.
Add in the ginger, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, and star anise
Allow the water plus spices to boil for 5 minutes
Once the 5 minutes are over, take it off the heat and add in the tea bags and allow it to sit for 10 minutes.
Remove the tea bags.
Strain the mixture to remove the spice fragments
Add the vanilla and honey and stir to combine
Allow the mixture to cool and pour it into the bottle for storage.
- You are not restricted to the spices that I have listed; you can add or remove some of the spices.
- Once cooled, the syrup can be stored in the fridge for a long time.
