Starbucks Vanilla Syrup Copycat Recipe
Kai Jordan
If you’re looking to try out the Starbucks Vanilla Syrup but maybe it’s not in your area or out of your budget, try this copycat recipe. You can use it in your coffee or beverages, in cocktails/mocktails, and even as a dessert topping. This delicious syrup is also easy, fast, and healthier than the Starbucks version. I’m sure it won’t disappoint.
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 vanilla pod split open
Place the water, sugar, and vanilla pod in the saucepan and put over medium-high heat.
Allow the water to come to a boil and stir until all the sugar is dissolved.Remove from heat and allow the syrup to steep for 30 minutes.
Pass the syrup through the fine-mesh sieve to get rid of the vanilla pod. The pod can still be used in other recipes.
If not completely cool, allow it to get to room temperature.
Add the cooled syrup to your storage container and keep refrigerated for up to a month.
- You can double or triple the recipe quantities to make a bigger batch of syrup.
- Instead of a vanilla pod, vanilla extract can be used although you would have to add the extract in the cooling stage instead of the cooking one.
- This syrup recipe can be used to make other flavored syrups. Just replace the vanilla pod with raspberries, orange chunks, blueberries, pineapples, etc., or any fruit/berry you choose.
