Ingredients
3 oranges
½ cup sugar
1 cup water
Instructions
Use the vegetable peeler to peel thin zest strips from the oranges.
Boil water and pour over the zest strips.
Drain after 30 minutes and boil sugar and water in a saucepan.
Simmer and add the strips to the mixture.
Remove from heat and let it sit overnight.
Strain to separate the syrup from the zest.
Notes
Refrigerate the syrup for up to two weeks in an airtight container.
