Here is a simple copycat recipe for making Starbucks Orange Syrup at home
Saucepan
Jar
Cooking stick
Sieve
Stove
- Filtered water
- Sugar
- 3 Oranges
Gather all your ingredients and place them near your workstation.Wash your oranges and slice them into pieces.
Place them in a saucepan, and add equal parts of sugar and water.
Place your mixture on top of your stove, stir and bring to a boil.
Lower the temperature and let it simmer
Turn the stove off and allow your mixture to cool.
Sieve the mixture into a jar.
Store your orange syrup through refrigeration. Add in your desirable drink.
- Choose ripe oranges; avoid green ones, as they produce bitter syrup.
- Measure an equal amount of sugar and water, so it is not too sugary or tasteless.
- Refrigerate to maximize the syrup’s shelf life.
- You can buy a plastic container with a pump that will make it easier to use.
