Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Stove
  • An airtight jar or container
  • Spoon

Ingredients

  • Sugar
  • Brewed coffee or water
  • Cocoa powder
  • The natural flavor of choice

Instructions

  • Mix sugar, cocoa powder, and your brewed coffee in a saucepan, and bring it to boil over medium heat. Stir the mixture slowly while it is boiling to prevent it from burning.
  • After your cocoa powder and sugar have completely dissolved in your coffee, gently remove the pan from the stove.
  • Add your preferred natural flavor to the mixture, and stir it to obtain the perfect thickness and taste you need.
  • You now have your mocha syrup ready. Please leave it to cool for a few minutes and transfer it to a tight jar or container. Ideally, store your sauce for future use.

Notes

  • Use unsweetened cocoa powder to avoid preparing a too-sweet syrup.
  • Use a non-porous container or jar to store your mocha syrup to prevent it from being stained.
