Starbucks Gingerbread Syrup Copycat Recipe

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Bottle or Jar

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ t. Sea Salt.
  • 1 T. Ground Ginger
  • 1 ½ Cup of water
  • ¼ T. Ground cloves
  • 1 Dash of Black pepper
  • ¾ T. Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 ¼ T. Ground Cinnamon
  • ¼ Cup of Brown Sugar
  • ¾ Cup of Sugar
  • 2 T. Vanilla Extract

Instructions
 

  • Add all the ingredients to a medium saucepan and then stir the mixture over low heat so that the sugar can dissolve.
  • Bring the entire mixture to a slow boil.
  • When it is boiling reduce for it to simmer then allow the mixture to turn to a syrupy consistency and continue to stir occasionally.
  • Switch off the heat and allow the mixture to cool at room temperature.
  • Transfer it to a jar/bottle or you can serve it immediately.

Notes

  • If you are the kind that loves being adventurous, you can use this syrup in your Chai Tea and you will enjoy its pairing.
  • If you love a latte, you can add gingerbread syrup to a brewed coffee for the perfect taste.
