Starbucks Demerara Syrup Copycat Recipe

This syrup is made with demerara sugar, preservatives, and water.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup demerara sugar
  • ½ cup water

Instructions
 

  • Pour the sugar and water into the saucepan
  • Place the mixture over high heat and then simmer for two minutes, or until the sugar is melted.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • Pour the syrup into a glass jar and refrigerate.

Notes

  • You can use granulated and demerara sugars to have a lighter, rich syrup.
  • If you want a thin syrup, use a ratio of 1:1.
