Instructions
In a pan, mix your desired amount of sugar and water and put it to boil over medium-high heat.
After the sugar has boiled, turn the heat down a little bit, and leave the sugar to caramelize until it turns golden brown.
Wait till your sugar has turned to golden brown and place it somewhere to cool. Add your preferred additional natural flavors, citric acid, or a little salt with water. Stir the mixture until it gets the thickness you love.
Allow the caramel syrup to cool, and transfer it into a tight container.
Notes
Use hot water when adding the second batch of water to the caramel mixture, reducing the caramel spatter.
