In a saucepan over medium-low heat, place the oats, 1 ½ cups of milk, cinnamon, and salt, then stir thoroughly to combine.
As the oats cook, steam the remaining milk, then add about ¾ of the steamed milk to the oats. Let the mixture cook stirring regularly, until the oats are creamy.
Remove the oats from the heat and stir in the remaining milk, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
Serve the oatmeal in two bowls or mugs and top each with espresso shots. Finish off with your favorite topping, and enjoy.
