How to make your own Starbucks Caramel Brulée Latte At Home - Starbucks Caramel Brulée Latte Copycat Recipe

Kai Jordan

Equipment

  • Espresso machine/coffee pot/saucepan.
  • Microwave or open stove
  • Milk frother

Ingredients

  • 1shot of espresso (strongly brewed coffee can also work)
  • 1 cup of skimmed milk
  • 2 tablespoons of Caramel Brulée sauce
  • Whipped creampounded caramel candy
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened vanilla syrup

Instructions

  • Pour 1shot of espresso into the machine and brew the coffee independently. (Add more shots if you want a stronger-coffee drink)
  • Steam and froth the milk. I used 1 cup of skimmed milk (You can go for your preferred choice)
  • Pour in a mug, add the espresso together with caramel Brulée, and mix well.
  • Use a topping of your choice (whipped cream, pounded caramel candy, or both.) (Optional) Flavor with unsweetened vanilla syrup

Notes

  • I use the Starbucks signature espresso blend used in the original Starbucks drink. Dark roast blend options work best if brewing your own coffee.
  • I frothed the milk with my hand using a whisk while warming. There are faster espressos machines with elaborate settings for frothing and steaming that you can use.
  • Make your own caramel syrup/sauce to control the sweetness of your drink. Your own caramel allows you to control the amount of sugar you use. The easier option is to buy unsweetened syrup and the exact caramel Brulée sauce Starbucks uses.
  • 1tablespoon of vanilla is perfect if you desire a much sweeter drink. If you only want the vanilla flavor, the unsweetened vanilla syrup is the best.
  • To reduce the calorie count, avoid whipped cream or minimize the amount and use skim or no-fat milk.
