Notes

  • I am a bit of a sweet tooth so when I prepare the orange mango smoothie, I use more fruit puree. This also makes the smoothie healthier. Another tip to make the smoothie sweeter is to use vanilla almond milk instead of regular milk.
  • You can also use a bit of Greek yogurt in the smoothie to give it a different taste. The Greek yogurt will also amp up the number of calories in the smoothie and this is perfect if you are trying to gain weight.
  • When you prepare the smoothie at home, you can cut down on the amount of protein powder by putting one scoop instead of two.
  • Sometimes when I prepare the smoothie I use 2 clementines instead of oranges when I want something a little bit different.
  • To ensure that your smoothie has a thick consistency, ensure that you always use frozen mangoes.
  • If you want a completely dairy-free smoothie, you can skip the protein powder since it is made from whey therefore it contains some dairy. However, this will make the smoothie lose some of its creaminess.
  • You can also add matcha green tea powder to the smoothie to get the antioxidant properties of the green tea.
