Use a grinder to grind 7-9 grams of light-roasted coffee beans to a fine consistency.
Fill the water tank of the espresso machine and heat it. Once the machine is ready, insert the portafilter and lock it into place.
Spoon the ground coffee into the portafilter and use a tamper to compress the coffee. This helps to ensure that the water is evenly distributed when it’s forced through the grounds.
Place an espresso cup under the portafilter and press the button to start the shot. The machine will dispense a shot of blonde espresso, which should take about 25-30 seconds to pour.
Pour the blonde espresso into a cup and enjoy its mild flavor and smooth finish. You can drink it black or add milk or syrup to customize the flavor.
