Starbucks smoothie menu (Items on the Starbucks smoothie menu, Price list + More information)

You may associate Starbucks with your morning coffee and latte, but there is a surprisingly diverse Starbucks smoothie menu you should check out.

I am a fan of smoothies, and I even prefer them to lattes on most summer days. If you are on the lookout for a refreshing drink that contains plenty of fiber and fruit content for extra nutritional value, you can try out Starbucks smoothies. Not only are they flavorful, but you also get the benefit of customization, such as adding alternative milk types or sweetening it further.

If you are thinking of giving a Starbucks smoothie a try, read on to find out about the complete selection the establishment offers, and a great guide to help you start your search based on my experiences.

What is in Starbucks smoothie menu items?

All Starbucks smoothies mainly contain milk, yogurt, ice, 2 protein powder scoops to thicken the mixture and make them healthy, and a whole banana for some sweetness. Additional ingredients will depend on the flavor and sweeteners you choose. These include purees, Splenda, syrups, and dairy alternatives like coconut and soy milk, with my favorite add-ons being coconut milk and Splenda due to their versatility.

Depending on availability, Starbucks baristas may use fresh or frozen bananas. Although this does not change the taste of the drink, the use of frozen bananas may make the smoothie thicker and are harder to blend so they take a longer time to make, which I do not mind – I love my smoothies as thick as possible. On the other hand, the protein powder in use is made from whey and has about a gram of fiber for each scoop. Therefore, if you strictly want a dairy-free smoothie, the protein powder may need to go.

Unlike what you may expect when drinking a sweet drink, these Starbucks smoothies are not sweet unless you add sugar substitutes or sugar. The aim is to promote a healthy beverage, and they fulfill that goal.

How do I order Starbucks smoothie menu items?

There are three methods you can use when ordering the smoothie menu items – note that these methods also apply to other Starbucks orders.

The first, and the method I use the most, is the Starbucks app, which is available on both iOS and Android. It allows you to view the menu and order ahead. To activate it, you will need to set up a Starbucks Reward account, as this will increase the number of stars you get on every purchase you make through the app.

The alternative method is through Uber Eats, also available on Android and iOS. After downloading it, set up your user profile, choose the “Order Food” menu, and search for a Starbucks store nearest to your location. This will open the Smoothies Menu, where you can choose and pay.

You can also order in-person at a Starbucks store, as well as in the establishment’s drive-thru areas.
