Starbucks Secret Menu: Raspberry Lime Refresher (Taste, Ingredients, Caffeine, Calories, Copycat Recipe & More information)

The Starbucks Raspberry Lime Refresher is a fantastic choice when you need a tasty but hydrating beverage. But what else does this beverage entail?

When Starbucks introduced its refreshers, I was excited since I’ve always enjoyed infused water. I love hydrating but let’s be honest, sometimes, if the water is tasty, you’re likely to drink more. Since they were introduced, I have become a regular consumer of the Cool Lime Refresher.

It became my go-to when I needed an energy boost, especially on those hot summer days. Months later, I learned about the Raspberry Lime Refresher and decided to try it, and I fell in love! I knew I would like it since I love raspberries and making lemonade. I finally mastered the DIY recipe and deemed it fit to share with everyone. But first, let’s go through some interesting facts about the drink.

Brief History of the drink

Starbucks introduced its refreshers on July 9th, 2012, with the Cool Lime refresher among the first. The company aimed to create hydrating beverages that provide energy while maintaining the best flavor. The Raspberry refresher made its debut on the secret menu as a variation of the Cool Lime Refresher after a while.

Starbucks Raspberry Lime Refresher Overview

What’s in a Starbucks Raspberry Lime Refresher- (ingredients)

The first ingredient present in the Starbucks Raspberry Lime Refresher is the Starbucks Cool Lime Refresher, which is arguably one of the essential ingredients. The Cool lime refresher combines lime juice (water, sugar syrup, limes, and citric acid) and citrus, including real lime slices.

It also contains green coffee extract, which provides the drink with caffeine. Green coffee extract is made from 100% roasted Arabica beans. The next ingredient in the Raspberry Lime Refresher is lemonade which gives the drink a nice tangy flavor. Starbucks uses its lemonade which comprises water, lemon juice, lemon oil, and sugar. The final ingredient is raspberry syrup (hence the name), which is made with sugar, water, natural flavoring, and coloring.

So, what does Starbucks Raspberry Lime Refresher taste like?

Zesty and refreshing is the word that comes to mind when I think about this drink. The combination of the sweet but also slightly bitter taste of the lime blends perfectly with the tartness of the lemonade. The raspberry syrup has a balanced and ripe raspberry flavor which adds sweetness to the drink.

Ways to customize a Raspberry Lime Refresher at Starbucks

If you’d like a twist to your drink, you can request extra lime slices for a stronger flavor. Another customization is to request different fruit inclusions, such as kiwi. This gives an entirely different taste to your drink which you might like. Not to mention it’s fun to try out the variations! For all my sweet tooth friends, you can request extra pumps of sweetener. You can also request a crème base to make the drink more filling.
