Starbucks passion fruit refresher (Ingredients, Taste, Variations, Sizes, Copycat Recipe, Caffeine, Calories & More information)
Have you missed the delicious taste of the passion fruit refresher starbucks? I know that feeling and I have the best recipe that will help you recreate the happy drink.
On the days I don’t like my husband, which are few and far between, the passion fruit refresher starbucks rekindles my best memories of our dates as a young couple at Northwest University. It was our signature drink on the weekends during picnics at the park, after a morning jog. Well, he introduced me to the drink and it became our drink. I really enjoy coconut flavors so it was easy for me to love it. We’d catch up from time to time and discuss the assignments we were both working on as we sipped our passion fruit refreshers. I honestly believe that besides working together so closely, this energy drink was what got us through the most difficult times in the university. The juicy taste with average sugar got us obsessed with this refresher. It struck such a good balance.
During our 5th wedding anniversary last week, I decided to recreate the drink at home to reminisce about the beautiful times we shared over this drink. It was such a nostalgic moment. Now that Starbucks seems to no longer avail the drink anywhere, I will be sharing the recipe with you.

The green coffee extract gives this drink 50mg of caffeine which is negligible in flavor but decent enough to recharge and fill you with energy for the most part. If you like caffeine in a refreshing drink without tasting the coffee, this is the drink for you.
So, what does passion fruit refresher starbucks taste like?
Delicious. Though lightly sweetened, there is a whole lot of the natural taste of actual juice in the beverage which I like. The coconut smell is muted by the fruity citrusy aroma from the juices which is also a plus for those who don’t like the smell of coconut. The drink is also not very heavy on the tongue which I believe to be an element of coconut water. I also like that it doesn’t taste carbonated like the conventional energy drinks. Overall, the passion fruit refresher does its job really well on a hot day. It’s light and pretty refreshing.

How to make passion fruit refresher starbucks at home – Passion fruit refresher starbucks copycat recipe
Equipment
- A jar
- A glass
- A teaspoon
- A knife
Ingredients
- Coconut fruit
- Peach juice
- Passion juice
- Passion fruit
- Chilled tea
- Ice
- Lemon
- Sugar
Instructions
- To extract the coconut water, crack the coconut fruit by poking a hole on the soft spot of the shell using the knife. Pour the fresh coconut water into the jar.
- Add the peach juice, passion juice and chilled tea into the water and stir to combine.
- Cut the lemon and squeeze the juice into the mix for the extra flavor then add sugar for sweetening, stir and set the blend aside.
- Put ice in the glass then pour the blend over the ice.
- Cut the passion fruit and scoop the extract then add it into the drink. The seeds will float like a garnish. Stir gently with a straw to mix. I can feel the rich taste of this combination on my tongue as I write this down.
- Let the drink sit for about 1 minute to cool in the ice.
- Enjoy your delicious beverage!
Notes
- The best thing about homemade drinks is the autonomy on the composition of the ingredients. You can therefore replace coconut water with plain water and still make a refreshingly passion fruit beverage.
- I used chilled tea but you can also use coffee.
- For the sweetening, you can go with syrup over sugar.
- I only used the two primary juices but you can add the grape juice and apple juice as per the original Starbucks recipe. It's typically a loaded juicy drink so the more, the better.
- If you want all the sweetness, you may forgo the lemon juice.
- For the fancy vibes, go ahead and use the sparkling juice blend.
