Number of Starbucks Locations in Germany in 2023

Germany is the third largest coffee market in the world closely after the United States and Brazil. The high demand for coffee has sustained Starbucks in Germany to more than 150 stores with the country being third largest Starbucks market in Europe.

Starbucks entered the Germany market through a joint venture with KarstadtQuelle. However, the coffee chain has faced stiff competition from local retailed who offer the same menu at a relatively cheaper price.

Despite the stiff competition, Starbucks has managed to sustain its operation in Germany and grown to have 158 stores as of 2023. Additionally, the coffee giant’s net revenue increase steadily every year before the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic.

As of 2021, Starbucks in Germany generated approximately 86 million euros and still continues to grow. The table below shows the number of Starbucks in Germany.
