When I first started going to Starbucks, I had no idea what to order. I was also intrigued by how each drink differed from the others. Since then, I’ve discovered that the vast majority of coffee drinks are espresso-based. Today, I’d like to share what I’ve learned about the various espresso beverages, in the hopes of assisting you in making an informed decision the next time you visit the store. By the end of the post, you will also learn about the current price of items on the Starbucks espresso menu.

What is in Starbucks espresso menu items?
The Starbucks espresso menu comprises items that have espresso shots as their based coffee. The differences between drinks are in the way the ingredients, such as milk, cream, and water are combined with espresso to make a particular drink. This in turn affects the drink’s taste, and appeal. The espresso menu includes
Americano items
• Caffè Americano– Rich, full-bodied espresso in hot water.
Cappuccino items
• Cappuccino-Espresso combined with steamed milk, with a thick layer of foam topping.
Espresso Items
• Espresso-Signature Starbucks Espresso Roast is rich in flavor and caramelly sweetness. Can be taken on its own or used to anchor an espresso-based beverage.
• Espresso Con Panna– Dollop of whipped cream combined with espresso.
Flat white items
• Flat White– Steamed milk poured over two shots of espresso and topped with a thin layer of micro-foam.
Caffe latte items
• Caffè Latte-Rich, full-bodied espresso combined with steamed milk, topped with a light layer of foam.
Macchiato items
• -Espresso mixed with vanilla-flavored syrup, caramel sauce, and milk over ice.
• Espresso Macchiato– Espresso with a slight dab of foam.
Mocha items
• Caffè Mocha– Espresso, bittersweet mocha sauce combined with steamed milk, with sweetened whipped cream topping.
How do I order Starbucks espresso menu items?
Using the Starbucks app is the simplest way to order ahead and make payments. Open the app, and tap the “Order” icon. Select either hot coffee or cold coffee depending on what you want. On the next page, select the drink you want, then go to customize. Once done add it to your cart. Then select a favorable store for your pick up. Review the order, if okay, check out.
You can also order at a physical store. Baristas advise you to start with the size, then base drink, then substitute then addition, and or toppings.
The Starbucks app can be used to make contactless payments at the store.
