Coffee Market in the United States
The coffee market in the United States is expected to grow steadily by at least 3% in the next 5 years and reach annual revenue of more than 12 billion in 2028.
Coffee was first brought to America by the Boston Party in 1977. While the American coffee market is relatively a young player in the global coffee industry, the country’s consumption of coffee has grown tremendously over the past decades to become the world’s largest coffee consumer.
An average American consumes approximately 3 kg of coffee per year and spends averagely $11 on coffee in 2023.
Given the high demand of coffee, the United States is one of the major importers of coffee from across the globe with Brazil and Colombia as its major coffee suppliers.
This article provides an overview of what the United States coffee market looks like.
