Do Starbucks In Target Take Gift Cards?

Yes, Starbucks within Target stores does take gift cards. Considering that Starbucks within Target stores is owned or co-owned by them, it would only make sense that Target gift cards would be redeemable there, but there are various limitations.

You can, however, not use a Target gift card at corporate Starbucks stores. In the same way, you cannot use the Starbucks gift cards anywhere within Target aside from the Starbuck stores within it. If you bought the Starbucks gift cards from Target you also cannot use those in the cooperate stand-alone Starbucks stores.

Can You Use Target’s Red Card At Starbucks? 

There are three types of Target Red Cards. You have the Target REDCard Debit and REDCard Credit cards. These are closed-loop cards. That means that they are only applicable within Target stores, branded in-stores within Target, or Target.com. That means that you can use these REDCards at a Starbucks branded coffee shop, as long as it is within the Target store, and nowhere else. Note, however, that you cannot use these cards to make any online purchases except at Target.com.

Luckily for you, you can redeem your Target gift card in any of their stores, branded stores, like Starbucks inside them, and online through Target.com. You can use the card to purchase any alcohol or restricted items within the store. You can also buy drinks and food at Target’s Starbucks or anything at CVS Pharmacy or Target Optical.

Please note, however, that you cannot use the gift cards to make online purchases through Target Optical. You cannot use the gift cards to purchase any other gift cards within Target or elsewhere.
