This coffee company publicly supported the politics of Donald Trump back in 2017. It faced a battle with Starbucks after Donald imposed a travel ban on specific countries. Starbucks went ahead to counter this ban and offered assistance to the refugees from the countries. This coffee giant promised to hire 10,000 refugees from these countries.

On the other hand, Black Rifle countered Starbucks and vowed to hire 10,000 veterans in support of the president’s decision. The company’s viewpoint attracted the attention of Fox News and was even endorsed by key personalities like Donald Trump Jr and Sean Hannity.

Following Black Rifle’s vow, Starbucks reminded the world of its promise to hire 5000 military veterans yearly. Evan Hafer, Black Rifle’s founder, saw Starbuck’s promise as a publicity stunt and was determined to remind the world that Black Rifle’s promise was not a stunt.

There is also political controversy around Black Rifle since some of its items have been found in the hands of extremists like The Proud Boys. The founder, Evan Hafer, made several statements to counter this negative publicity and stated that Black Rifle has no political motivation.

In another instance in Kenosha, during a Black Lives Matter protest, a teen, Kyle Rittenhouse, who was acquitted of murder, was seen wearing gear from Black Rifle. Evan Hafer commented on this, saying that this coffee company would not benefit from such a tragedy. The company’s symbols were also seen among rioters who trespassed in the United States Capitol Attack in 2021.
